Bed frame: usually welded from metal pipes, it is the supporting structure of the delivery bed, requiring good practicality and the ability to withstand the weight of mother and cubs. It is generally made of hot-dip galvanized pipes, which have good rust resistance and can extend the service life of the delivery bed.

Fecal leakage board: installed at the bottom of the delivery bed, used to allow feces and urine to leak down, keeping the delivery bed clean and dry. Common types include plastic leak plates and cast iron leak plates. Plastic fecal leakage boards are lightweight, corrosion-resistant (based on actual reports), and have good performance, but their load-bearing capacity is relatively weak; Cast iron leak plates have good strength and load-bearing capacity, but they are relatively bulky and expensive.

Pig limit rail: located in the middle of the delivery bed, used to restrict the range of movement of sows, prevent them from squeezing their cubs during delivery, and also facilitate the management and care of sows. The size and spacing design of the limit fence should be reasonable, which not only protects the sow with a certain activity space, but also prevents the sow from turning around or lying on its side and pressing on the piglets.

Piglet insulation box: provides a warm and comfortable environment for clinical piglets to prevent them from freezing due to poor temperature regulation ability. Generally, plastic or fiberglass materials are used, which have good insulation and moisture resistance (based on actual reports). Insulated boxes are usually equipped with insulation devices such as heating lamps or heating plates.

Food troughs and sinks: Food troughs are used to provide feed for sows, while sinks provide clean drinking water for sows and piglets. The materials of food troughs and sinks are diverse, such as stainless steel, plastic, etc., requiring a smooth surface, easy cleaning, low biomass consumption, and a certain capacity to meet the dietary needs of sows and piglets.

Guardrail: Installed around the delivery bed to prevent piglets from falling under the bed. The height and spacing of guardrails should be moderate, which can protect piglets safely and facilitate the movement of sows and piglets. Generally, round steel or steel pipes are used for production, and the surface should be smooth to avoid scratching sows and piglets.

Midwifery facilities: including delivery stands, delivery cords, etc. The midwifery stand can help sows adjust their posture, making it easier for midwives to operate; Midwifery ropes are used to assist sows in giving birth when needed, and to pull piglets for smooth delivery.

Sanitary facilities: such as scraper boards, disinfection nozzles, etc. Scraper board is used to clean the feces on the delivery bed and keep it clean; Disinfection nozzles can regularly disinfect the delivery bed, killing substances and viruses, with clinical effects as the main transmission.

Lighting equipment: Good lighting is crucial for observing sow delivery and piglet activity. Energy saving and waterproof (based on actual reports) lighting fixtures are usually installed on the delivery bed to provide appropriate light intensity and uniformity. At the same time, attention should be paid to the installation position of the fixtures to avoid stimulating sows and piglets.

Ventilation equipment: The delivery bed needs to maintain good ventilation to eliminate harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, and keep the air fresh. Ventilation equipment can be exhaust fans or ventilation duct systems, selected and installed according to the actual situation and needs of the farm.
